Description - 1st Drill: Four players in a square passing the ball round the square. Each player should practice looking at the player opposite, with the corner of the eye on the player they are receiving the ball from and the player they are passing to. So player B focuses on D, while receiving from A and passing onto C, assuming the ball is being passed clockwise round the square. The ball could also be passed anti-clockwise for a set period of time or number of passes. |
A variation on this is to pass clockwise round the square and the next person to be passed to signal a number from 0 (fist) to 5 and for the passer to shout out that number. For example C signals a number as A passes to B, and B calls out the number, accurately if possible. Again B's focus remains on D. Players could start with three lives and lose a life each time they call the wrong number, or don't call at all. |
