Objective: Good shooting under pressure.
Description: Progression from one attackers with a chaser to two attackers, to three. The chaser should be at least 1.5 metres behind the attacker. The defender should try to get round the attacking player, by taking the extra stroke, to block the pass and not to foul or be excluded. |

The attacker on the left wing starts with the ball. This player must drive strongly to the right post, being a threat and drawing the defender. The second attacker should aim not to be level with the attacker with ball, ideally a metre or two behind to receive a diagonal pass.
The defender needs to make the player with the ball think he is going to tackle, but primarily needs to have the other wing covered. If in doubt, leave the ball. The player who has the shot or loses the ball stays as the defender for the next attack. |

Again the right wing start with the ball, driving on the right post and commiting the defender. The key point again is that the attackers should not be in a straight line. The middle attacker should aim to arrive a metre or two after the wing attackers, to receive a diagonal pass.
The player who has the shot or loses the ball stays gets back in line, while the other two attackers stay to defend the next attack. Coaching points: Attackers must commit defenders. Defenders must make the ball carrier feel threatened, but must mark the non-ball carrier. tk |
