Objective: To improve counter attack/defence awareness. To practise the goalkeeper's distribution. It keeps quite a few people occupied, particularly with progression to 3 vs 2.
Description: Hat up half the attendance with white, the other half with blue. Each colour is going to defend the end to its right. The ball starts with the keeper who will usually pass to the attacker on the right hand side on just over half way. The attackers advance. |

The trailing defender must wait until both the attackers have cross half-way. To give a sufficient gap between attackers and the chaser, the chaser needs to leave the side and go to the middle of the pool before chasing.

Coaching points: The defender should threaten the ball carrier, but not commit.
The attackers must commit the defender in front of them, so that one of the attackers is free. The first past from the keeper is crucial. The keeper should hold the ball high and work their their legs to be well out of the water for the pass. tk for ap |
